Lithuania

Big country with great and old traditions and long history, country with beautiful land, Baltic Sea coast, nature and people, country in a small, but unique territory. You can cross our country in five hours, it’s just 300 km across.
We are just 3 million people and all we are living in geographical center of Europe and the biggest country in the three Baltic states. The capital of Lithuania – Vilnius, the biggest city in country and the most popular for tourists.
Other recognized as the capital cities - temporary capital Kaunas, the summer capital Palanga.
Towering forests, golden beaches, meandering rivers, crystal clear lakes, medieval castles and other romantic sights, what you could explore.
Lithuania has a one port in Klaipėda. The river Nemunas is called the father of all rivers in Lithuania and the mother - Neris. We have all four seasons and trough the year we can feel very cold, very hot or very rainy weather.
Our national anthem is written by Vincas Kudirka, who was a Lithuanian poet and physician, the author of both the music and lyrics of the Lithuanian National Anthem, Tautiška giesmė. Our first religion is Catholicism, but the second is mostly more popular – basketball. We have National Anthem for basketball „Trys Milijonai“ written by Marijonas Mikutavičius - is a popular Lithuanian singer, musician and songwriter, a television journalist. We are really good at basketball and we love it.

Official language is one of the oldest living Indo European - Lithuanian, but you can hear many similar words to Russian language. Also, Latvian language is a bit similar to Lithuanian Žemaitija region people dialect.
Lithuania's Act of Independence was signed on 16 February 1918 in the aftermath of World War I. Now we have four UNESCO heritage sights: Curonian Spit, The Hill of Crosses, Kernave ecological sight, Vilnius old town, which is one of the largest medieval old towns in whole Europe and Songs Festival traditions and symbolism.
We have the Northern most non freezing sea port in the west, great highways and roads, modern logistic centers, three international airports, extensive railway system.
We take more than half of the total economy of the Baltic states. We love music and we are good at sport, we have good singers, dancers, music players, mostly at jazz. Our priority is for science and arts, schools and universities. Mostly all people has high education and speaks at least one foreign language.
Now Lithuania is good place for business, visit and have a rest. We have good health resorts and SPA with their unique rehabilitation facilities and high class service.
